Today in our holiday roundup I’d like to introduce a wonderful early middle grade book, Story Bird Dance and the Snowbird Ballet by author Yolanda King. The illustrations are done by artist Pia Reyes and the book is part of a series called Story Bird Dance.
Story Bird Dance and the Snowbird Ballet
The first winter recital for Story Bird Dance Academy is around the corner. A mid-season performance would be a first for Story Bird Dance Academy, so each of the girls is a bundle of nerves waiting to open the letters that announce their parts in the winter recital.
But Sky’s best friends are faced with a little performance fear. Jada is worried about being out of sync with the other dancers. Nia was chosen to play the Lizard King, but there’s a big problem–Nia doesn’t like lizards or anything even resembling a reptile. Will Sky be able to help her two best-friends face their fears?
Story Bird Dance and the Snowbird Ballet is a fast-paced, funny story, the second book in the Story Bird Dance series, aimed at readers ages 6+.
“This book is awesome because it brings a wealth of knowledge about careers, science and health from a preteen’s perspective…”~Five-star Amazon review
Yolanda King is the founding author of Tangled Press, where she offers clothing, artwork, and other goodies, as well as her books. Before writing the Story Bird Dance series, Ms. King created Curlilocks, a picture book series for preschoolers, which is also available on Amazon.
