Holiday Books: Winter Wonder

Today’s holiday roundup book is a collection of short stories about Christmas by a variety of middle grade authors. It was suggested to Rosco’s Reading Room by multiple award-winning author D. G. Driver, who has been featured here on the blog before.

Eleven award-winning holiday stories from nine authors fill the pages of Winter Wonder

Winter Wonder brings you a confection of Christmas stories by an array of well-loved authors featuring characters drawn from their award-winning books. And now the book has won an award itself–first place in the Purple Dragonfly Children’s Book Awards for Best Anthology.

Monday Morning Indie book reviewer Connie Huddleston asked the authors of favorite books she had reviewed to write Christmas or Winter themed short stories based on the characters from their novels. The result is eleven new stories spanning all ages from the young to the young at heart that will whisk you away on a snowstorm of delight to worlds of fantasy, adventure, history, and even outer space with tales celebrating the magic of Christmas and the wonder of winter holidays.
Fill your child’s holiday reading with stories of adventure, mythology – both Greek and Native American, fantasy, science fiction, time-travel, a lyric poem, mystery, and even a bit of romance. These stories will entertain readers 9 and older.

Winter Wonder is FREE as an ebook and is also available in print.
